Brand Marketing & Content

As the VP of Content and Global Broadcast Distribution for the Canadian Football League, I led our in-house agency in executing omni-channel marketing assets for the league and our corporate partners.

Broadcasting

I spent the early part of my career in broadcasting. Here are a few of the shows I’ve been a part of.

As Director of Original Productions for Corus Entertainment, I oversaw the development and production of the first six season of this hugely successful home renovation series. I also oversaw the spinoff series Property Brothers: Buying & Selling for the first four seasons. My role further involved working with our sales team on a regular flow of branded integrations with partners like Ford and 3M . I also guided our digital team in the evolution of digital content to support and promote the series.

Another hit show I oversaw during my time with Corus was the first season of the docu-reality series Hockey Wives. The show focused on the lives of the wives of professional hockey players, as they balanced the highs and lows of the hockey world, alongside their personal lives. Working closely with our sales team and the series producers, i crafted branded moments and co-branded TV spots for LG Canada featuring the cast members.

What happens when you take the wild and crazy Billy The Exterminator and toss him in the snow? We solved that mystery with Billy Goes North - a hilariously weird reality show that I oversaw the development and production of, while at Corus Entertainment. Fans loved seeing Billy rescue exotic Canadian wildlife like beavers, bears and Toronto Racoons.

Undercover Boss Canada followed 10 executives as they left the comfort of their offices to go undercover as entry-level employees in their own companies. As the network executive overseeing the series, i was responsible for overseeing the development and production process, as well as collaborating with the marketing department on the promotion of the show.

Hosted by Canada’s own Howie Mandel, the hugely popular Deal or No Deal game show came north for 5 special episodes. As the casting producer, I poured through thousands of applicants to find the right mix of energetic and interesting people to appear on the show for their chance to win a million dollars.

As co-producer for two seasons of this beloved fashion competition reality show, I was hands-on with all elements of production for the series, from development to final delivery. My role also included crafting and executing branded content elements for series sponsors L’Oreal Canada and Winners.
